about
Self-produced Nashville artist Caleb Blair made his debut as a solo act with his single Tropicana after years of living as a road warrior with nationally-touring acts as a keyboardist, background vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.
After three years of playing for artists, writing for musical theatre projects toured in the U.S. and working as a hired-gun musician, Caleb moved forward with pursuing his own sound. With the spices of indie-pop and individual quirk, he authors his own sound diving into the drum machines reminiscent of Bleachers, the color-paletted melodies of Walk the Moon, and taking lyrical inspiration from powerhouses like Joni Mitchell, Sasha Sloan, and Sting.
Since starting to release his own music, Caleb Blair has been on the same bill as indie-pop bands like WLDLFE, Valley, and Nashville’s Drive!Drive!
Caleb Blair’s approach to artistry is proven through his fanbase accumulated as a musician known to care for the fans of the bands he’s worked for. From an interview, Caleb expands on this saying, “Honestly, if doing music didn’t lead me to know more people and connecting with both those who are way different from me and way similar, I woudln’t be doing this. For me, it’s all about fans turning into friends and friends becoming family.”
